My experience in buying and selling three properties (5 transactions total) with Mary Haltom over the past 8+ years has been extremely positive. The first time, I needed to find a home quickly in one of the craziest real estate markets I can remember. I had attempted to work with two other real estate agents (who were supposed to be very good). Thankfully I finally met Mary who listened and really took me seriously. The person who referred me to Mary said she must really care because she answers her phone even when she´s getting her hair done! She does really care.
Mary has many great qualities that I found important:
She has been an agent in good times and bad, so she understands the big picture. She really knows this area inside and out! She takes her job very seriously. She is very professional. She is VERY careful and detailed, especially regarding the contract part. She brings up important details that most agents don´t think of. She is extremely reliable. She doesn´t screen out properties because sometimes we think we know what we want but something better comes up that is outside the original parameters. She is very honest. She never tries to sway you-you make up your own mind. If she doesn´t know something, she doesn´t bluff or guess-she tells you straight up if she doesn´t know. She is very kind and patient. I never feel like I am "bothering" her. She doesn´t end the relationship once the papers are signed. She is your agent every day, even when you´re not in the market, so if you need something later she is there. She is equally great at helping you purchase and helping you sell.
